6/21/2023 0 Comments Pack rat pictures animal![]() His redemption generates peace and contentment as he snuggles down in his brown midden for a good night's sleep. ![]() After some quiet time and reflection he discovers that he is happy already inside. Pack Rat has an epiphany and comes to the conclusion that things can not make him happy. Pack Rat trying to acquire the entire night sky because it twinkles and sparkles in its majestic vastness and that escapade ends up with a HUGE NOPE! What was he thinking? Did he really steal those things from the poor store owner? That's not good. Nope, they don't sparkle enough, and then goes for a heist to obtain toys, tools and games from his favourite store. He tries his creative skills to make him happy once again by using sea shells. He is over the moon happy with the colour change until like flowers do. He points the bar at the flowers and voilà the flowers are plucked and they march home behind him. Luckily he has an old metal bar that works like a magical magnet. He decides then and there that only vibrant colours can make him happy. Pack Rat suddenly thinks about his midden and how boring the colour brown really is. Feeling he needs a break from all his creative labour he walks to his favourite meadow where the wildflowers are all in bloom. He arranges brown pine needles, brown sticks and leaves, brown acorns, pinecones, and chips of bark that blend in perfectly with that theme. Pack Rats midden's theme colour is basic brown. Why? He has just built his first midden! A midden is a nest that pack rats build out of this and that, anything really that strikes their fancy and they can drag back to their home. Pack Rat who one day is so happy he feels that he might explode. Thank you to NetGalley and Parallax Press for a free DRC of this book. This book has a strong message without being too preachy and it's a reasonable length making it not too bad for repeat reading. I really liked the rhythm of this book and the repetitive chanting lines would make for excellent group reads. Pack Rat to finally realize that happiness doesn't come from things. Pack Rat can barely fit inside, but that doesn't stop him from wanting even more. Eventually, his little den is so filled with stuff that Mr. Pack Rat goes in search of more things to try to spruce up his joint. Pack Rat has soon collected all the flowers from the field and hoarded them back in his den.īefore long, though, the flowers are no longer so bright and cheery, and Mr. As he relaxes, he is enthralled with all the colours on display in the meadow and becomes convinced that his all-brown midden is actually far too drab. Pack Rat takes a break and goes outside to get some fresh air. Quite proud of his creation and his theme (all brown), Mr. Pack Rat has built his first midden, a nest-like, cozy pile of whatever's lying around. Pack Rat Really Wants That is a cute little story about how having more things doesn't usually lead to more happiness. ![]()
